The Rooms for rent

We offer furnished rooms in a newly appointed, smart, shared house in Ramsgate for periods from one week up to as long as you wish. Whilst most people will wish to stay long term in the house, this means we can also cater for short term visitors who may be visiting the area for a few weeks only.

We expect the rooms to appeal to young professional people in regular employment who like the company of a shared house but who require good quality, private space. We do not allow smoking within the house and regret that we cannot accommodate pets.

All but one of our rooms have their own private en suite shower room. (The last has an en suite toilet and wash hand basin and shared use of bathroom.) The kitchen, living room, utility room and garden are shared with the others living in the house.

All but one room have double beds, although they are offered for single occupancy so as not to overcrowd the house. They feature new laminate floors and all are wired for broadband Internet access as well as having a wireless connection within the house. They have TV aerial points and are pre wired for your Sky + connection.

We can supply bed linen and room cleaning services if required.

The House

The house is a large, Victorian, four storey terraced house and it has just been completely stripped and renovated with new wiring and plumbing, facilities and decoration. It has laminate flooring throughout.

There is a small, mainly paved garden out the back where you can sit round a barbeque or hang out your clothes to dry.

The living room has a full HD 32 inch television with a Sky + box and Movie and HD channel subscription.

The kitchen is equipped with gas cooker, microwave and large fridge freezer. There are a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room which work off a card meter.

For your security there is a new four zone fire alarm system and CCTV coverage of the entrance and corridors. The rooms all have fire doors and fire protected escape routes to the latest standards.

A entry phone system allows you to communicate from each floor with visitors at the front door and unlock it remotely to let them in.

The room rent includes full gas central heating and hot water, cleaning of the shared parts, water, electricity (except utility room), Council Tax, television licence and shared Sky subscription.

The Area

The house is in Albert Street and is very conveniently located 350 metres from the centre of Ramsgate and 150 metres from the West Cliff overlooking the harbour. It is only 100 metres from the nearby Waitrose store and about 1.2 kilometers from the station on the edge of the town.

It is in a quiet street immediately adjacent to the delightful conservation area of Liverpool Terrace, an area in which the surrounding houses have also nearly all been renovated to a high standard.
